Simply put, the civet eats and poops the coffee beans, which is how the coffee type earns the name “cat poop coffee”. The other names for this animal include civet cat, palm civet, or simply Luwak. Well, it’s coffee made from partially digested cherries that the Asian civet has eaten and passed out in its excrement.
